# About OP Links Agent

OP Links Agent is a personal automation tool that I (Darren Herman) use

to research and curate articles for **The Operating Partner**, the

biweekly newsletter at [opletter.com](https://www.opletter.com). It is

not a public service. The app is designed for a single user — me — and

runs as a private automation pipeline.

## What it does

Each morning, OP Links Agent searches the public web for high-quality

articles relevant to topics I cover in The Operating Partner: enterprise

AI, private equity, digital marketing, sports business, and watches. It

scores the candidates against an editorial taste profile, picks the top

items, and sends them to my own inbox as a daily briefing. Once a week,

it produces a longer digest as a Google Doc that I share only with

myself.

## How it uses Google APIs

The app requests two Google OAuth scopes, used only to deliver content

to me:

• **`https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send`** — used exclusively

to send the briefing emails to my own Gmail inbox. The app never

reads, lists, or modifies any existing email. It only sends.

• **`https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file`** — used only to

create new Google Docs containing the weekly editorial digest. This

scope is narrowly limited to files the app itself creates; it does

not access any other files in my Drive.

No Gmail or Drive content is read by the app. No data is shared with

third parties. No data is used for advertising. The briefings are

intended only for me.

## Who uses it

OP Links Agent is operated solely by Darren Herman, a single user.

It is not offered to other users, not part of a product, and not

distributed publicly. The OAuth user cap is 1.
